At IBM Integration Services (formerly BusinessTone), we’re committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

This Policy explains when and why we collect personal information, how we use it, the conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure.

We may change this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time so please check this page occasionally to ensure that you’re ok with any changes. By using our BTMS website and services, you’re confirming you've read and accept the following terms for using the application.

Who are we?

We’re IBM Integration Services, a leading SaaS middleware provider. We are based on the IBM Cloud infrastructure, enabling the latest in security and data standards. Our services include industry standard and custom types of data transmissions (EDI, RosettaNet, AS2, XML, etc.) using the latest in secure transmission protocols. We also provide custom API development, custom blockchain and IoT, data analytics, and process automation for all your project data needs.

How do we collect information from you?

We obtain information about you when our clients contract our services for themselves to exchange data between their business partners. What information is sent to us is approved and controlled by our clients. We also collect personal information from you to enable a basic profile for using our file visibility tool (BTMS – BusinessTone Management System).

What type of information is collected from you?

The personal information we collect include your name and business email address.

What is acceptable use of your information?

Since we are a middleware provider service, what we collect is very dependent on the overall service that our clients are contracting. We receive your data in a protected format and only pass your information to the intended recipient(s) for the intended end service. Any other uses of your data are strictly prohibited.

We review our retention periods for personal information on a regular basis. We are legally required to hold some types of information to fulfill statutory obligations. We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as is necessary for the relevant activity, or as long as is set out in any relevant contract held with us.

Who has access to your information?

We will not sell or rent your information to third parties.

We will not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third Party Service Providers working on our behalf: We do not use third party services. Please be reassured that we will not release your information to third parties, unless you have requested us to do so, or we are required to do so by law. For example, by a court order or for the purposes of prevention of fraud or other crime.

How you can access and update your information?

The accuracy of your information is important to us. We’re working on ways to make it easier for you to review and correct the information that we hold about you. In the meantime, if you change email address, or any of the other information we hold is inaccurate or out of date, please email us at: help@businesstone.net.

Security precautions in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of your information

When personal information is exchanged, we take steps to ensure that it’s treated securely. Any personal or sensitive information is encrypted and protected with the latest approved security technologies.

Once we receive your information, we make our best effort to ensure its secure on our systems. Where we have given (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our websites, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone. We take additional steps to secure our systems through password rules, password locks and removal of old profiles.

Profiling

We will request your personal information to create a profile if: 1) you are listed as a technical contact for your organization or 2) if you request file visibility access through our BTMS system.

Use of 'cookies'

We do not make use of any cookies at this time.

16 or Under

We are concerned to protect the privacy of children aged 16 or under. If you are aged 16 or under‚ please get your parent/guardian's permission beforehand whenever you provide us with personal information.
